Have questions that weren't answered in our FAQ?

Contact me today to learn more or to schedule your initial consultation. I'm here to address any additional questions and help you find the support you need.

  • Do you offer a free consultation?
If you think I may be able to help, please submit an inquiry. If I believe I can help, I will, free of charge, arrange a twenty-to-thirty-minute introductory phone consultation to better understand your needs and more fully explain my practice and style. Based upon the content of this call, we will make a plan accordingly.
  • How long does therapy usually take?
Therapy is a process and not an event. Important features of successful therapy, such as developing trust and comfortability with a therapist, do not follow strict timetables. Furthermore, measuring – or even explaining – success in therapy is incredibly difficult as it tends to mean very different things to different providers based upon types of therapy, conditions being treated, and purpose of treatment, to name a few.
  • How long are sessions?
I schedule our sessions for a full hour. Please note that there may be some variability in the exact duration, but you can expect to be in-session for between 53-60 minutes each week.
  • How often are sessions?
Based upon a number of considerations, I meet with clients on a weekly basis.
  • What is an Intake Appointment?
At the Intake Appointment, I will lead us through a structured form so that I can gather background information, relevant history, and important context which will serve as a foundation from which we build upon during the remainder of treatment. We will also begin the very important work of getting to know one another, and getting comfortable with one another, so that we can springboard towards rapport and our alliance.
  • Is therapy, and the information discussed, private and confidential?
I follow strict confidentiality, privacy, and security policies based on federal and state laws as well as ethical standards.
